Sofa Zombies is a new absurd zombie comedy short film written, produced and directed by Paul Harker produced in collaboration by Jugganort Films and Limerence Labs as a Movie Maniacs Production.

Filmed in Horsforth, Leeds on a zero budget over a weekend in May 2025, the film stars Sara Mazzanti as Evie, Will Bill Robins as Adam and India Thompson as The Newsreader.

Director of Photography is Philip Wolff. Sound Recordist is Faisal Yaqub. On gore effects is co-producer Chris T Davis and on make up is Jennifer Amaechi. Production Assistants were India Thompson and Darcie Talbot.

Premiere Screening and first laurel

Sofa Zombies got it’s first airing on 29th September 2025 at Upco Arts in Otley, as part of a TurnipFish Theatre programme of short films.

Just a couple of days earlier, the film also received it’s first laurel, as semi-finalist at the Lit Scares Film Fest.
