Watching enters pre-production

Jugganort Films’ new psychological horror feature Watching is entering pre-production ahead of a planned shoot during February 2026. Written, produced and directed by Paul Harker, the feature will be filmed in Illkey and the surrounding moor.

A tense, character-driven story set largely within a single apartment, Watching is a claustrophobic descent into paranoia, obsession and the erosion of trust. It explores themes of surveillance, intrusion, fractured identity and escalating dread.  As reality buckles, the characters are forced to confront the horror of being watched in ways they could never have imagined.

Call out for cast and crew

Casting is now underway for the film’s lead actors (2 female leads, 1 male), alongside supporting characters (1 female, 1 male) and cameo roles (4 males). The production team is also recruiting its crew lineup with a focus on a Director of Photography, Sound Recordist and Make Up, with pre-production activity ramping up across November and December.

A fully developed 80 page script is in the final stages of being locked, and a pitch deck is also available.

The film will hold table reads and rehearsals throughout December and January, ahead of a focused shoot across weekends in February 2026.

After shooting in February, with some pick ups in March, the intention is to have the project ready for a premiere in the Autumn of 2026.

Watching is being produced on an ultra-low-budget model based on deferred payments calculated against sweat equity, utlilising collaboration among local Yorkshire-based talent. The people who make the film will own a percentage of the film and a share of any future profits, based on the level of their contribution.

Writer and Director Paul comments ‘Having made five award-winning short films across narrative and documentary during 2025, the next logical step was to go to feature length in 2026.
